ABOUT BRIAN
My name is Brian Diederich
I am a writer, musician, professor, and philosopher, though I would resist being pinned down by any one of those words. Born into a large family where solitude was a luxury, I wandered through the worlds with wide eyes, walking slowly, wishing the journey would never end. I still do. Join me.

Family lore has it that my parents could only find true privacy in the garage, retreating to their old Edsel when the walls of the house closed in. And family lore has it that somewhere in the quiet hum of that idle car, I came into being. It seems fitting. I have spent my life finding the profound in the overlooked ever since.

I took my first class in kindergarten at Old Dominion University and my last as a doctoral candidate, leaving with an MS in Physics and a lifelong habit of asking the questions that don't have clean answers.
